Event Posters
This is the “fun zone”. The most intuitive, sometimes nonsensical and least inhibited work. Most of these flyers are for local events created for zero profit other than to promote the event. Some of them use “found” imagery from a patent or a science fiction book covers or inspiration from an illustrator I stumbled across. Some things are illustrations I’ve created myself. This part of the portfolio along with the album covers are intended more for myself to have an actual compiled space where these posters live… I’ve done so much scanning through I think 7 external hard drives to get this together in one place.
New Fumes / Def Rain / Atop poster - organic textures photographed, digitally layered and manipulated. An exploration in typography, legibility and balance.
Still image from the film digitally manipulated with vector treatments combined.
This is a representation of the sound waves all of these electronic artists create intertwining in an organic yet mechanical mass. I wanted it to be clean and somewhat chaotic at the same time. The wireframe is a vector illustration style I came up with years ago using drawn shapes and blends mimicking some sort of wire mesh being crumpled arbitrarily.
This poster owes everything to Kazumasa Nagai. At this time I had come across him and his masterful designs and honestly this one is very much in the realm of thievery. I was thinking about minimalism, meditation, and potential
This is a collaboration with Dallas artist Andy Murray.
Poster for a New Year’s show featuring America’s funnyman, Neil Hamburger.

This is obviously some sort of OCD torture to create.
I made this illustration from a photograph of Neil Hamburger ©Paul Israel.
3 sci-fi books spliced together to create this weirdness.
This flyer has illustrations I made of iguanas.
